Have you lost or upgraded your phone and need to import your crypto wallet onto your new phone?.. Or maybe you’ve accidentally uninstalled your wallet app and need to reinstall it to get access to your crypto?

Follow the generic guide below to reimport your wallet and get your funds back.

1. Go to the Google Play or App Store and re-download your wallet app.

2. Install it on your phone and run it. You’ll see an option to either Create a new wallet or Import an existing one. Choose the option that lets you Import an existing wallet.

3. You’ll then be asked for your wallet seed phrases. These are (usually) the 12, 18 or 24 words you should have written down safely when you created the original wallet. You’ll need to enter these correctly and in the right order. A 12 word seed phrase will look something like this:

bored python truce begin head orange pinnacle person hypen glowing biscuit happy

Notice that there is no comma after each word, just a space.

4. If you’ve entered your seed phrase correctly your wallet will now be repopulated and contain the coins you had previously. If the wallet is showing as empty then it was either empty previously or you’ve entered the seed phrase incorrectly.

Many people have lost access to their cryptocurrency by misplacing or forgetting their seed phrases. This should not happen to you. Make sure you have a backup of your seed phrases in case disaster strikes. This will ensure that you are always able to get your coins back in the event of an emergency.
